A blank block gives you the most freedom, and it's worth using properly. Jeremy starts with where the sun tracks, where the views are and where you'd want to sit on a Sunday, then works the plan around that. Passive design and low-energy builds are a regular request, and he's happy on the awkward sites other people talk you out of.
