Privacy Policy

Jeremy Falcke Design is an independent architectural design practice based in Perth, Western Australia. This page explains what personal information Jeremy collects when you get in touch, why it is collected, and what happens to it. Personal information is handled in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What is collected

If you contact Jeremy by phone, email or the enquiry form on this site, he may collect:

• Your name
• Your email address and phone number
• The address or suburb of the property your project relates to
• Details you choose to share about your project, site or budget

Nothing sensitive is collected unless you volunteer it as part of discussing a project.

Why it is collected

Your information is used only to:

• Respond to your enquiry and arrange a consultation
• Prepare concepts, drawings, quotes and fee proposals
• Communicate with you throughout a project
• Lodge planning and building applications on your behalf, where you have engaged Jeremy to do so
• Meet record-keeping obligations that apply to design and building work

Your details are never sold, rented or traded, and you will not be added to a marketing list without asking for it.

Who it is shared with

This is a solo practice, so in almost every case Jeremy is the only person handling your information. Where a project requires it, details may be shared with:

• Your local council or a private certifier, for planning and building approvals
• Consultants engaged for your project, such as energy assessors, surveyors or engineers
• Your builder, once construction documentation is issued
• Anyone else you specifically ask him to deal with on your behalf

Information is otherwise only disclosed where the law requires it.

Project drawings and photographs

Completed projects are sometimes photographed for the portfolio on this website and on social media. Photographs are published without client names or street addresses. Drawings are only published with the client's permission, and title blocks containing client details are excluded. If you would prefer your project not to appear at all, just say so. That is always respected.

This website

The enquiry form is processed by Netlify, which passes submissions on by email. The site is set up to load Google Tag Manager, which may place analytics cookies to record aggregate visit data such as pages viewed and approximate location. That data is not used to identify individual visitors. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings without affecting your ability to use the site.

Storage and retention

Enquiries and project records are kept in email and cloud storage with reasonable safeguards against loss or unauthorised access. Project records are retained for as long as they may be needed for the project or to meet legal obligations, then deleted.

Accessing or correcting your information

You can ask what personal information is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted where there is no obligation to keep it. Email jeremy.falcke@gmail.com and Jeremy will respond within 30 days.

Concerns

If you think your information has been mishandled, please raise it directly first. Most things are resolved with a phone call. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
